Been there, Done that!

"Been there, done that!" I've heard and used that phrase many times when talking amongst friends about the quirkiness of life. It usually invokes a chuckle or two... It's a funny way I can relate to the same experience my friends have gone through. In my meditation time today I heard that phrase, "Been there, done that." Ok Triune, what are you saying?... I have lived many years having faith in God, faith in Jesus. Today I hear Him affirming this faith but also encouraging me to take it another step up- have his faith- the faith of Jesus. He's "been there, done that" by living, dying, and living again. He offers to share his faith with me, a faith that's gone there and back! A faith that cares about the here and now life lived everyday. It goes beyond an intellectual recognition of having faith in God. A Jesus lived out faith has a relational emphasis that is "here and now". Intellectual faith does not produce heart chan...

Keeping it simple

Unseen Playwright Two characters struggle to take center stage. The Antagonist and the Protagonist. Fear and Grace. It's a pitched battle written by an unseen playwright. It's always a three part play. Scene one begins with the two main characters struggling to give understanding to the framework of life; rules and regulations that are in place to provide structure and stability. Vital elements for growth and formation. Scene one is played out in front of a background of rules. The transition into scene two is about wondering if there's more. Structure and framework are abandoned for freedom to discover and explore. They go their separate ways. Yet, both self critique, which leads to self correction. One corrects into worshiping the rules and regulations. The other corrects b...

The choicest seed- journal entry

I’ve got a couple things going on that I want to process by journaling. The last few months have been bad for finding work.  I have been doing a little here and there but it had not been enough to cover the bills that need to be paid regularly.  At the same time I have been walking out faith and what that looks like every day. There has been a radical change in who I am and the way I handle life in general.  I am a spiritual man first. I was created by God as such and I live my spiritual life as the primary life that I have.  It is through being a spiritual person- literally that I can bring to my life the resources needed to nurture all other parts of me.  Since I am created in God’s image and one of the aspects of God is that He is triune by His very nature, then so am I. He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  I am Spirit, Soul, and Body. I have been given charge to nurture my soul and body just as Adam was given charge to subdue and rule over the earth an...
